Après des mois de rénovation en raison des dommages causés par l’ouragan Ida, la bibliothèque Levi Itshak réouvre ce dimanche, 14 Chevat, 6 février au 305 Kingston Ave.
Les femmes et les enfants sont invités à venir célébrer la réouverture de la meilleure bibliothèque pour enfants à Crown Heights !
« Les enfants sonnaient à notre porte tous les jours pendant que nous étions fermés, voulant savoir : ‘La bibliothèque est-elle ouverte?' », a déclaré Rav Shlomo Friedman de la jeunesse Lubavitch, qui dirige la bibliothèque.
Eh bien, l’attente est terminée ! Après plusieurs mois de travail acharné de rénovations, il y a un nouvel éclairage, de nouveaux meubles et de nouveaux livres pour les enfants. La bibliothécaire principale, Mme Tzippy Kastel, se dit ravie que l’endroit reprenne son essor. Il y aura beaucoup de nouveautés pour les enfants lors de la grande réouverture, y compris la décoration Pushka, l’artisanat, des goûtés, des cadeaux et plus encore.
L’événement aura lieu le dimanche 5 février, 14 Chevat, à la bibliothèque – 305 Kingston Ave, entre 13h00 et 18h00.

Today: After months of renovation, the Levi Yitzchok Library of Crown Heights is having a grand reopening on Sunday, at 305 Kingston Avenue for women and children.
After months of renovation due to damage from Hurricane Ida, the Levi Yitzchok Library is having a grand reopening on Sunday, Yud Daled Shvat, February 6th at 305 Kingston Ave. Women and children are invited to come celebrate the reopening of the best children’s library in Crown Heights!
“Kids were ringing our doorbell daily while we were closed, wanting to know, ‘Is the library open yet?’,” said Rabbi Shlomo Friedman of Lubavitch Youth Organization which directs the library.
Well, the wait is over! After many months of hard work and renovations, there’s new lighting, new furniture and new books for kids to read. Head librarian Mrs. Tzippy Kastel says she’s excited to have the place back in full swing. There will be plenty for kids to enjoy during the grand reopening event, including Pushka decorating, crafts, nosh, gifts and more. If you have Jewish fiction books you can donate to the library, please bring them along.
The event will take place Sunday, Yud Daled Shvat, February 5th at The Library – 305 Kingston Ave.
